A product of Avery Island, Louisiana. For hundreds of years, Native Americans boiled Avery Island's natural, briny spring water to extract its valuable salt, a practice continued into the 1800s by early European settlers. In 1862, however, the Avery family discovered solid rock salt beneath the island's surface, a virtually inexhaustible supply of extremely pure salt said to be as deep as mount Everest is high.

Delight your palate with nature's best ~ an organic, pure mineral salt with a briny flavor, enhanced by a subtle salty sweetness. This kosher grain salt makes an excellent seasoning for all your gourmet dishes.
